The most common business card size in the Arab region is 9×5 cm, and 8.5×5.5 cm also appears. Choose the size your print shop cuts with a ready-made die, which is cheaper and more accurate.
What are the common sizes?
- 9×5 cm: the most common in Egypt and Saudi Arabia
- 8.5×5.5 cm: common in some print shops
- 8.5×5.4 cm: close to the size of an ID card
What should be written on the card?
- Name and job title
- Phone or WhatsApp number
- Email or website
- Business logo
- One address at most, or one social account
Anything beyond that crowds the card and makes it hard to read.
What are the design rules?
- Leave a safe margin of at least 3 mm from every edge so text is not cut off.
- Add 3 mm of bleed for colored backgrounds so no white edge appears.
- Use images at 300 DPI, and never enlarge a small image.
- Do not shrink the text below 7 points, or it becomes unreadable in print.
- Stick to two or three main colors.
Do I need a ready logo?
Yes, it is best to have the logo ready in a clear format before the design starts. I design the card only, and I do not offer logo design.
What do I send to get started?
Send your full details, social accounts and business data on WhatsApp, and I start the design. You receive the file ready to print wherever you like.
